BI Visual eXcellence includes a set of state-of-the-art animated Flash Charts and Maps as well as the "Filter Wheel", an elegant way to navigate through the data. It also provides you with several elegant features and Layout Items (Panels, Tabs, Windows, Document Display, Enhanced Table Grid etc.), which help you to further improve your Web Reports.
All elements are fully integrated into SAP BI Web Application Designer 3.5 and 7.0 as new Web Items. They interact with SAP BW in the same way as the standard SAP Web Items, and offer the same parameters such as Exception Display and Drill-downs.

The Flash Chart Item allows you to display animated charts in your Web Reports. The Flash Chart acts just like a standard SAP Web Item and supports all known settings, such as axis swapping, sum suppression, exception display, drill-downs, interaction with other Items.
You can choose from a wide variety of pre-defined charts, such as bar, pie, line, combination and gauge charts. With the BI eXcellence Suite Tool you can adapt these charts to your needs, e.g. change animations, label display, styles or from 2D to 3D view.

The set up of the maps is much simpler than with the standard Map Item, because no GEO-coding has to be defined. Instead, characteristic values (such as "US" or "DE" for country) are used to automatically assign values to the map.
You can allow a drill-down in the map and define its path (e.g. from continent to country to county). The maps also show BI Exceptions with different colors.
We deliver a complete set of predefined maps - including all sorts of global, continental, country and regional maps. We can also design individual maps for your reporting purposes, in case you do not find a suitable one in the standard.

The Flash Filter Wheel is an elegant way to navigate and filter on a BI Cockpit or Dashboard. A spin of the wheel sets the filter to the selected value.

The Document List Item can display uploaded documents, comments and formatted textto Master Data or Transactional Values in an elegant container on your Web Cockpit. Several parameters allow you to customize the looks, e.g. grouping or whether documents shall be displayed inline or as a link.
Most important, you can also control the printing layout of the Document Item. Toggle between online view (display in the Web Template), offline view (the Item becomes only visible in the printout) or both.
